The winter 2009 issue of Northern Now tells of the collaboration between NIU and Rockford’s Burpee Museum in uncovering a major fossil cache. Also revealed is the world’s first and only NIU Center for Burma Studies, which boasts a collection of more than 120,000 Burmese artifacts including art, manuscripts, maps, books, and other treasures.
